Engr. Md. Saiful Islam, is Lead Consultant of SUSTainable Engineering Associates (SEA). He is an expert Structural and Geotechnical Engineer in this developing country. He has depth knowledge on Design of Seismic Resilient Structure, Vibration Control of structure, Hands on Research of structural damping system with higher computer aided optimization algorithm. As a structural engineer he has designed more than 300 high rise buildings. He has depth knowledge on Site Investigation & Soil Testing, Geotechnical Engineering Design, Foundation Design & Analysis, Slope Stability & Landslide Risk Assessment, Shoring & Earth Retention Systems, Geotechnical Monitoring & Instrumentation, Soil Improvement & Ground Stabilization, Geotechnical Report Preparation, Geotechnical Risk Assessment & Mitigation, Pile Foundation Design & Analysis, Seismic Site Characterization & Liquefaction Analysis, Soil-Structure Interaction Analysis, Lateral Design of Pile, Geotechnical Feasibility Studies, Site Remediation & Contamination Studies, Earthquake Engineering & Geotechnical Seismic Design, Compaction & Settlement Analysis, Geotechnical Expert Witness & Legal Consulting. Now, he is doing research on soil-structure interaction, Liquefaction Analysis of Special locations of Dhaka city. He in inventing a new device on soil testing where human error may reduce and will increase efficiency of soil testing work. More efficient SPT number will be found by using his tools.He has completed his Master’s in Civil Engineering especially Structural and Earthquake Engineering from Kunsan National University, Gunsan, South Korea, where he was awarded the prestigious Brain Korea 21 Plus (BK21+) scholarship funded by the South Korean government. His undergraduate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering was completed at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. He is pursuing his PhD on Geotechnical Engineering from BUET now.He built his career as Structural and Geotechnical Engineer. Currently he is serving as Lead Consultant of SEA, CEO of GEOSolid Engineering Incorporation, and Consultant of PGB PLC for JRC project as Structural and Geotechnical Engineer by the part JK & MnM. He has done lots of geotechnical projects over the country. He has started his career as project engineer, however, from his very interest on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, he devoted his to the field of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering Then, he joined as a Structural Engineer at Bureau Veritas Bangladesh and later on joined as a Design Engineer at Stristi Architect and Nagar Vision Design & Development Ltd., where he was responsible for structural design, detailed engineering assessments, and subsoil investigation works. Later he joined as Bridge Design Engineer at KWENSO at Brunei Darussalam.From his experience from career, Md. Saiful Islam, showing his excellence as technical expert to every project. He is providing innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of clients. His research in the field of earthquake engineering and structural vibration control, including innovative applications of Stockbridge dampers to the transmission line, and the design of earthquake-resistant structure, ensures that clients receive the highest level of expertise and the most reliable structural systems. He has successfully overseen and contributed to high-impact projects, including seismic analysis of offshore wind turbines, structural assessments for industrial buildings, and optimization of multi-story building systems for earthquake response.As Lead consultant, Md.
